One week after attending the Fruit Logistica trade show 2020 in Berlin, let’s make a point about it with our Export Manager Dr. Francesco Di Pietro.

What are the main reasons why Hydro Fert chose to take part in Fruit Logistica again this year?
Definitely, we’ve chosen to attend the Berlin trade show – for the 7th time in the most recent years – thanks to the remarkable quality of its organization, able to rally a potential of highly-qualified visitors for agricultural sector, coming from the most important markets in the world. A target that is fully in line with our products of high-technological content and, more generally, with the Hydro Fert strategies for our brand globalization.

Can we confirm to be satisfied with such choice?
Yes, all in all the exhibition have met the expectations this year once again, despite the different international issues could have weakened its success.
In such context, we’ve hosted by our stand many distributors and professionals from the most varied international markets, strongly interested in our fertilizers and our commercial offer.

How can we judge the turnout by our company stand?
The positioning of our stand in a new specialized pavilion entirely focused on technical means has guided a notable percentage of highly-qualified visitors to meet us there. Thus, on the one hand we’ve been able to strengthen our brand awareness and, on the other hand, we’ve laid the basis for an effective follow-up in some new markets of big interest, where then start operating.

Would you consider this event fruitful also for strengthening the ongoing business cooperation?
As usual, taking part in such trade fairs can and has to be a chance to host and meet in person some of our best partners on foreign markets. From this point of view, Fruit Logistica in Berlin results to be strategically the best “temporary office” possible.
Notably this year, we’ve hosted some of our distributors from MENA area and have consolidated our mutual partnership, by signing relevant business deals immediately effective.

Has the coronavirus “psychosis” penalized the 2020 edition of the trade fair?
Despite the emergency caused by this year’s coronavirus outbreak in China, the event appears to have just slightly suffered it, confirming itself the gold standard as a platform for networking and marketing. Indeed, fair’s numbers show a record of over 3,300 exhibitors and more than 72,000 trade visitors from all over the world, with only a weak decrease in numbers.

Overall, how can we judge the participation of Hydro Fert at Fruit Logistica 2020?
Once again, our presence at Fruit Logistica has been of strategic importance for our company. A great showcase both for Hydro Fert trademark in the world as well as for our products in more detail.
The numbers after every edition of the Berlin trade show are always characterized by a high business potential and certainly the feedback of this 2020 edition is to be considered a profitable investment in order to expand our internationalization process. We’ll take advantage of it to keep following our ever-improving way of development.
